RinoNav DUCENS
DUCENS is RINONAV’s automatic steering system that combines the steering motor and the display–controller in one integrated unit. Designed to transform manual tasks into semi-automatic operations, it reduces overlaps and errors, shortens working time, and improves land efficiency even under demanding conditions.
RINONAV DUCENS — Integrated Automatic Steering System for Precision Agriculture
Designed from the ground up for precision agriculture, DUCENS simplifies installation and daily use: less wiring, optimized harnesses, and an on-screen assistant that guides the operator at all times. Its architecture integrates a control module with a touch interface and a high-torque steering motor that acts on the vehicle’s steering column to maintain the planned path with consistent accuracy.
Heading and attitude detection are enhanced by an external IMU and T3 Terrain Compensation, stabilizing the guidance line and minimizing skips or “teeth” in passes over slopes, ridges, or uneven terrain. Thanks to this hardware + software combination, the operator works more comfortably and achieves straighter, parallel lines with less fatigue.
The all-in-one design reduces installation time and learning curve. Under normal conditions, the unit can be mounted or removed in about 15 minutes, allowing the system to be used across multiple vehicles on the farm. The interface is clear and intuitive, with job profiles, task management, and visual guidance to start working quickly and efficiently.
Main Advantages
- Less wiring and simple setup: simplified harnesses and integrated components reduce installation and maintenance time.
- External IMU + T3 Terrain Compensation: stable guidance and uniform passes even on challenging terrain.
- Semi-automatic operation: less operator fatigue, higher line quality, and reduced input costs thanks to minimal overlap.
- Intuitive touchscreen interface: fast startup, crop-specific profiles, and visual assistance during work.
- Multi-vehicle compatibility: quick installation and removal to move the system between tractors or compatible implements.
Applications
- Seeding, fertilization, and spraying with consistent parallel lines.
- Preparation and maintenance tasks with reduced overlaps and gaps.
- Night or low-visibility operations while maintaining guidance and line quality.
Recommended Workflow
- Configure the vehicle and job on the DUCENS screen (implement width, pattern, boundaries).
- Plan the working lines and reference points.
- Activate automatic steering and monitor performance in real time on the interface.
- Optimize overlaps and efficiency using terrain compensation and visual guidance.
