DJI Matrice 400 – Maximum Autonomy, Intelligence, and Versatility
The DJI Matrice 400 is DJI's latest enterprise drone platform, designed to redefine the standards of professional aerial operations. Introduced by DJI Enterprise, this next-generation drone combines exceptional performance with advanced technologies to meet the demanding needs of various sectors. With up to 59 minutes of flight time, a payload capacity of 6 kg, and integrated intelligent sensors, the Matrice 400 is positioned as the ideal solution for topography, industrial inspection, energy, and emergency services. Discover how the DJI Matrice 400 can boost the efficiency and safety of your aerial operations.
Exceptional Flight Autonomy and High Performance
The Matrice 400 provides up to 59 minutes of continuous flight and 53 minutes in hover mode, even when carrying payload, thanks to its high-capacity battery. This outstanding autonomy allows extensive areas to be covered in a single mission, ideal for large-scale mapping projects or extended search and rescue operations. With a maximum horizontal speed of 25 m/s, the drone can quickly move between various points of interest, reducing operational times. Practically, this translates to higher productivity: you can complete inspections and aerial surveys in fewer flights, saving time and operational costs.
Weather Resistance and Reliability in Adverse Environments
Engineered to perform in challenging conditions, the DJI Matrice 400 features IP55 certification, offering resistance to rain, dust, and other harsh elements. Additionally, it operates reliably within a wide temperature range from -20 °C to 50 °C, ensuring stable performance in both the hot summer and the rigorous winter.
This weather robustness instills confidence in work teams: the Matrice 400 continues flying safely in heavy rain, dusty construction sites, or mountainous terrains, minimizing disruptions and ensuring consistent results throughout the year.
Advanced Obstacle Detection for Safe Flights
Safety is a priority for the Matrice 400. It incorporates an advanced, omnidirectional obstacle detection system at an industrial level, combining rotating LiDAR, millimeter-wave radar, and full-color night vision cameras. Thanks to this fusion of sensors, the drone can identify hard-to-see hazards such as thin power lines, branches, or structures even in low-light or foggy environments.
At speeds up to 25 m/s, the Matrice 400 quickly detects and avoids obstacles, enabling safe low-level flights near high-voltage power lines, wind turbines, or glass façades. For operators in critical sectors, this capability significantly reduces the risk of accidents and protects equipment and data during each mission.
Long-Range O4 Enterprise Video Transmission
The DJI Matrice 400 communication system is state-of-the-art, utilizing advanced O4 Enterprise video transmission technology. Featuring ten antennas on the drone and high-gain antennas on the remote controller, the Matrice 400 achieves a transmission range of up to 40 km*, providing stable real-time video with low latency, even in interference-prone environments.
Additionally, it is compatible with the sub-2G frequency band and can be equipped with DJI Cellular Dongle 2 modules to automatically switch between mobile networks and maintain the best available signal. This ensures that, whether inspecting infrastructure in remote areas or urban operations with heavy signal congestion, the pilot always maintains mission control and visibility. For extreme missions, the Matrice 400 even supports aerial relay mode, allowing one drone to act as a high-altitude repeater while another operates further away, further extending operational range during long-distance search and rescue operations.
Payload Versatility and 6 kg Capacity
One of the Matrice 400’s greatest strengths is its versatility. With a payload capacity of up to 6 kg, this drone simultaneously supports various sensors and accessories. Its design allows mounting single or dual gimbal configurations on the bottom and includes a third connector for additional equipment. Thanks to its four E-Port V2 expansion ports, it is possible to attach up to seven devices simultaneously, adapting the drone to the specific needs of each mission.
The Matrice 400 is compatible with the latest DJI payloads, such as the hybrid Zenmuse H30 camera (integrated optical zoom, thermal, and laser rangefinder), Zenmuse L2 LiDAR sensor for high-precision terrain mapping, and the full-frame photogrammetric Zenmuse P1 camera. Additional accessories include the DJI S1 LED spotlight, V1 loudspeaker for voice transmissions, onboard DJI Manifold 3 computer, and third-party payloads. This customization capability allows one platform to serve multiple purposes.
