Leo makes your job easier: just point and shoot

Real-time interactive scanning tips, a hybrid "markerless" tracking system, intelligent scanning modes for faster data processing: these are some of the things that make the Artec Leo the easiest 3D scanner to use.

You just have to pick it up, point at what you want to scan, and press the start button. Leo takes care of the rest.

Smart capture without markers

Leo eliminates the need for additional equipment like spheres or markers thanks to its cutting-edge hybrid tracking of geometries and textures. Just point at the object and start scanning. It's that easy.

Distance color map

To help users maintain the optimal distance with the object during scanning, the Artec Leo includes visual aids with a simple color code: if the surface being scanned is too close, it will be shown in red; if it's too far, it will be shown in blue.

Complete surface detail

The smart surface quality indicator allows you to see which areas have been fully captured and which need more attention, for example, more frames or more coverage from different angles. It also indicates if you are scanning too fast or holding the scanner too far away.

Pause and resume as needed

The Artec Leo 3D scanner picks up the process where you left off and adds new data to an existing project.

It remains at a stable and optimal temperature throughout the process to maximize scanning accuracy. The calibration certificate and calibration kit ensure maximum quality at every step of the process. Artec Leo provides up to 0.1 mm of 3D point accuracy.

Equipped with the most energy-efficient integrated NVIDIA Jetson TX2 processor and state-of-the-art algorithms, Leo is unlike any other scanner in terms of performance, accuracy, and durability.

3D Resolution up to 0.2 mm. Real-time 3D reconstruction rate up to 28 FPS.

Multicore processing for exceptional speed and energy efficiency. It also allows scanning in sunlight thanks to its class I laser projector. It projects a pattern invisible to the human eye on the object's surface.

The Artec Leo has an acquisition speed of up to 3 million points per second and an HD data acquisition speed of up to 35 million points per second.

Additionally, it features an HD mode for double the resolution.

HD Mode

It doubles the resolution of the scanned data and eliminates noise, allowing for the cleanest and most noise-free 3D model. Hard-to-reach areas and surfaces are easier than ever thanks to improved reconstruction and edge curvature enhancements.

Faithful representation of geometry and colors

Leo is equipped with the most advanced technology for capturing rich textures, adapting to lighting conditions, and precisely mapping textures to geometry. It features a two-in-one optical system, a supercomputer integrated into a module, position sensors with 9 DoF, and VCSEL light technology that varies flash intensity.

CGI Photogrammetry

Takes photogrammetry to the next level using Artec Leo's scanning data with photos from its own camera. Bring it all together in Artec Studio in a seamless process to obtain amazing and realistic 3D models with perfect geometry and texture quality.

Versatile and reliable software

Powered by Artec Studio and integrated with Artec Cloud, this scanner is now more powerful than ever. The software allows scanning directly to the cloud, remotely controlling the scanner, and even building your own functionalities with a dedicated API and SDK. Artec Studio

Artec Studio offers a fast workflow where Leo accelerates the data acquisition process and seamlessly transfers scan data to Artec Studio for mesh to CAD analysis, simple primitive adjustments, and many other enhanced functions.

Using a browser, Leo can be accessed remotely, the scanning process monitored, the scanner controlled, and projects and target clouds managed.

A dedicated API and SDK open even more possibilities with the scanner. With access to scanner settings and parameters, you can create functions that interact with the scanner's status, work with target clouds, and manage projects.

Collaborative scanner

With Leo's cloud scanning feature, you are no longer limited by location or hardware. From anywhere in the world, team members can contribute their expertise to the same project from their browser. Their scans can be processed while you do other work, and parallel projects can run simultaneously.

Capture small details and larger pieces with a single scanning solution

With a capture area of 160,000 cm, the Artec Leo scanner is truly versatile. It excels at capturing medium-sized (20-50 cm) and large (50-200 cm) objects and surfaces. However, if combined with a powerful computer, it can even capture very large objects (over 200 cm) or entire locations, such as rooms or crime scenes.
