The 190CXPRO4 is a compact, lightweight, and rigid tripod with 4-section carbon fiber legs, featuring advanced characteristics and excellent build quality, designed and manufactured in Italy by Manfrotto.
The key feature of the 190CXPRO4 is its 90° central column mechanism, which allows it to be extended vertically as usual, or horizontally, opening up a wide range of framing and shooting possibilities; this function makes the 190CXPRO4 an extremely versatile tripod, suitable for a wide variety of photography and video applications. The mechanism to position the column horizontally is housed inside the tripod’s top structure for a more compact size and extends quickly and easily when needed. Changing the column from vertical to horizontal doesn’t require disassembling any parts and can be done even with the camera mounted.
The 190CXPRO4’s four-section legs achieve a truly compact size: combined with the height savings from the horizontal column mechanism, the four-section legs help reduce the length of this tripod when folded by 16cm compared to previous 190 models, an extra appreciated by traveling photographers. These legs also extend very quickly, thanks to the Quick Power Lock section locking lever system. The special design of the QPL levers allows a more comfortable and secure locking/unlocking action of the leg sections, even with one hand and in a single movement.
The QPL system design also provides stronger locking of each section, meaning the tripod is more stable and rigid than traditional designs. The leg angle selectors are intuitive and ergonomic, so each leg can be independently and solidly set at any of the predefined angles, allowing for considerable positioning freedom. A bubble level is also integrated at the top of the central column for more precise framing. This level rotates freely around the central column, allowing it to be positioned in the easiest way to view while adjusting the tripod, without being obstructed by the head or camera.
The top structure of the 190CXPRO4 features an Easy Link connector for easily adding photo or video accessories (such as an LED light, flash, reflector, or any other equipment) mounted on an extension arm or bracket, turning the tripod into a mobile studio.
