Range of 200 meters and rugged design
The new Leica DISTO™ D510 is synonymous with easy and effortless measurement outdoors. The unique combination of digital pointer and 360° tilt sensor allows measurements that are not possible with other conventional laser distance meters. Moreover, thanks to Bluetooth® Smart and attractive free apps, you will be prepared for the future.
Simple and accurate targeting - 4x zoom pointer
Thanks to the pointer, the Leica DISTO™ D510 performs fully precise measurements even in unfavorable lighting conditions. This is a great advantage when working outdoors under bright sunlight. Even if the red laser dot is no longer visible to the naked eye, the target can be precisely aimed through the display.
Unlimited number of measurement options - 360° tilt sensor
The Leica DISTO™ D510 is equipped with a 360° tilt sensor. This means that not only angles can be measured, but also horizontal distances. Combined with the pointer, amazing indirect measurements can be obtained. Therefore, measurements are possible even without any sharp surface to aim at, for example, to determine the height of a tree or to measure the height of a reflective glass facade. This could not be measured with a conventional laser distance meter.
Efficient height profile measurements
Using this function, the Leica DISTO™ D510 displays distances and height differences to a set reference point. This makes it easy to quickly perform profile measurements, without the need to use more expensive measurement methods. Additionally, this function serves to check whether crossbeams are straight, floor leveling, etc.
Quick sketch - Bluetooth® Smart with Apps
The Leica DISTO™ D510 is capable of more than just measuring. Measurements can be conveniently and accurately transferred using the integrated Bluetooth® Smart Technology. The free app Leica DISTO™ sketch supports the creation of floor plans or tables on the iPhone or iPad. Dimensions can also be inputted into photographs effortlessly.
Modern ergonomics
Providing always the simplest operation of all possible complex measurement functions is a necessity for Leica Geosystems. The Leica DISTO™ D510 has been adapted to the user interface of modern smartphones. In addition to your favorite functions, a couple of selection keys can be assigned for quick access with just one button press. The friendly and integrated function will help you not to get stuck on the construction site.
Resilient and easy to clean - IP 65
The housing and keyboard are specially sealed against water and dust. Cleaning with running water is also not a problem. Additionally, the laser distance meter can be used in all weather conditions, being protected against dust and water jets.
ISO Standard 16331-1 - The standard for handheld laser distance meters
The range and accuracy of laser distance meters depend on lighting conditions and the reflectivity of the measurement target. For Leica Geosystems, it is important that the instruments not only function under perfect laboratory conditions but above all in the tough daily working conditions on construction sites. For this reason, in collaboration with external experts, the company has developed a standard by which the various laser distance meters on the market can be tested and compared with each other.
